Rituals is another one from my early days at the Con. Originally written for piano, I played around with it a few years later, adding instruments that seemed to fit the mood. I've used this piece in high school music classes, adapting the various instruments to suit those available in the classroom and amongst the students and it works with most combinations. Most classrooms have some tuned percussion instruments, we've used electric bass guitar for the pizzicato bass, violins, saxophone and even voices when we've been desperate!
