This website was created with NetObjects Fusion Essentials. This was a free web building programme which came with comprehensive user guides and tutorials, a stack of templates and has been incredibly easy to use - without the need for expensive upgrades. I downloaded a couple of others to try but never needed them as this one was so simple and so comprehensive. The only downside is limited technical support - hence the apparently unfixable glitch on my navigation bar!!
Music on this site was originally recorded using Anvil Studio Multi-Audio, which was made available as a free download with low cost upgrade. I now use Cubase but can thoroughly recommend Anvil Studio as a low cost, easy to use programme.
I use Wavepad for last stage editing - This is another freeby, very quick and easy to use.
Conversions to mp3 were done with THOMSON mp3Pro Audio Encoder. This was a free download several years ago and I still find it incredibly quick and easy to use.
Streaming Audio was created with Wicked Streaming Programme - This programme (also a freeby with low cost upgrade) seemed to have gone off the market for a while and I was very grateful that I downloaded it when I did. It seems to be available again and I can wholeheartedly recommend it as a wonderful, easy to use streaming programme.
Scores were converted to PDF files for Acrobat viewing with pdfSuite and PDF Standard Encryption Module. These were also free downloads with low costs upgrades.
Buttons were created with Cool Text. I hunted through dozens of button creation sites before finding this one - it’s the only one I found that allowed me to create any size and style of button that I wanted.

Files were uploaded with WS_FTP - when all my other uploading programmes glitch, this one keeps on performing.
Free website hosting and redirection on ‘Jo’s Music’ was provided for many years by CJB.net. The only downside is all the ads that pop up on the site.
Tracking Statistics are provided by Statcounter. This is a wonderful service, free of charge, which provides very thorough statistics. If you have a website, I recommend them highly. I’ve tried a few and can’t find any to compete with Statcounter.
These days it’s pretty easy to build a website with all the programmes available, but in the early days, it was essential to understand how HTML works. Thanks to Web Design Guide Tutorials and to Joe Burns with his Easy HTML Primers at HTML Goodies for guiding the novice through this complicated process.
